Bybit UTA is rolling out a new manual coin borrowing feature to give you more control and flexibility when trading on margin.

The feature is expected to go live on Oct 15, 2025, with the exact time depending on the actual launch schedule.

The new feature enhances UTA's borrowing experience by making it more intuitive and powerful. Here’s what’s changing:

- Compare the before-and-after of UTA borrowing and get full details here:

- Total liabilities = Derivatives liabilities + Spot liabilities

- Derivatives liabilities = Liabilities from Derivatives trading + Interest deductions

- Spot liabilities = Liabilities from Spot trading + Liabilities from manual coin borrowing

- If you see this message when using leveraged trading in the app: “The leveraged trading product has been newly upgraded. Please update the Bybit App to the latest version to adjust asset leverage,” please update the app before continuing.

- The API for checking the maximum leverage of individual coins (GET /v5/spot-margin-trade/state) will be taken offline. Please switch to the new API: GET /v5/spot-margin-trade/coinstate. The exact offline date will be announced separately.

- The Set Leverage API (POST /v5/spot-margin-trade/set-leverage) now includes a currency parameter. Please start setting leverage per coin. This is not mandatory yet — we’ll announce the effective date separately.

- A new Repayment API (POST /v5/account/repay) is now live. It supports one-click repayment and partial or full repayment by coin. We recommend switching to this API for better flexibility.
